Val D'Elsa

San Gimignano' towers pierce the sky in this part of Tuscany, as austere, simple and suave as its hills and as  fragrant as its Vernaccia wine. However, those towers are just one of the attractions that makes this area so popular with tourists.Another jewel in this area is the town of Colle Val d'Elsa, renowed for its architecture and tradition of crystal artistry. A medieval atmosphere reigns in the fortified village of Casale d'Elsa, which represented a stronghold where the territories of Siena, Volterra and Florence met.
